What You’ll Learn

Who Should Enroll

This qualification is essential for:

Registered childminders and childcare professionals aiming to meet EYFS staff-to-child ratio compliance
Nursery and early years staff, as well as teachers and classroom assistants working with young children
Parents, guardians, nannies, and foster carers dedicated to safe care of infants and children

Additionally, those newly qualified (post-30 June 2016) with Level 2/3 childcare credentials must obtain this full Paediatric First Aid certificate within three months of starting work.

Certification & Validity

Participants undergo practical assessments and a theory test (typically multiple-choice) to demonstrate competence.
Successful candidates earn the Qualsafe Level 3 Award in Paediatric First Aid (RQF)—a nationally recognized certificate.
The certification is valid for three years, after which a full requalification is required

Course Format & Structure

Duration: 2 full days (minimum of 12 contact hours), blending practical exercises with essential theoretical learning.
