Course Objectives

By the end of the one-day course, you’ll:

  • Understand the role and responsibilities of a paediatric first aider in emergencies.
  • Learn to evaluate an emergency scene safely and prioritize appropriate actions.
  • Gain the ability to support an unresponsive infant or child, including placing them in the recovery position.
  • Perform CPR tailored to infants and children and safely operate an Automated External Defibrillator (AED).
  • Recognize and respond to choking, external bleeding, minor injuries, bites and stings, seizures, and shock.
  • Develop awareness of relevant first-aid regulations and standards within early years settings.
